Kenmore elite smartheat dryer won't start. I tried to search the forums for answer everyone was saying its the thermal fuse. If it does not start, make sure the belt is intact because if the belt it broken or has come off; The motor will not start.
I unplugged in and remove that back in to see if any of the wires were lose. Joined apr 17, 2014 messages 3 location florida. You must read 120 volts and if you do then either the control is bad or the interface/console is bad.

You can check the control board with a voltage meter. I tried to start it normally, on the timer and it just beeps. All the lights are work (the unit is getting power) and it appears to be working, the door is closed etc.

The dryer will not run. Nothing weird just normal loads If the belt is intact then i would suspect a faulty control board.
I tested the thermal fuse and all the fuses it wasent the answer. It lights up and lets me choose my drying options, but when i press start it just beeps and won't start. When i tried to start it beeped three times rapidly.

I'd suggest you start by checking voltage from the black wire on the p1 connector to the white wire on the same connector.
If i keep pressing the start button, the dryer will buzz and what seems like a switch gets tripped on the left hand side of the dryer. What happened just before the light on your kenmore dryer came on? So it was either the door switch or control board…
